It all began as a child when Elvery creator Jilleen Meckling-Gaskarth had the idea to make her own jewellery. Searching through her father's workshop to find his fishing pliers and wire... then making her way to her Mother's craft boxes to find the most beautiful beads. Evolving her skills and interest over time, Jilleen started selling her work as Elvery Handcrafted Jewellery.

Women of all ages responded with excitement, and the rest is history. Her pieces can be found at summer music festivals, in juried art shows, and in retail shops across Canada.

Jilleen now has a young family of her own and her days are spent in the joyful balancing act of family, business and creative pursuits. Her goal is to make jewellery that inspires, is playful and accentuates the natural beauty in others.
